Snow In Sydney !

It seems an unlikely prospect. However it did happen in the icey winter of 1836. On the 27th of June people woke to the unlikely spectacle of snow covering Sydney streets. Such an event has never occured since although there is antedotal evidence of snow falling on obsevation deck of centrepoint tower (the tallest building in Sydney). In 1965 The central coast usually known for its sun and surf woke to a wintery white landscape. up to 6 inches of snow where reported in some places and people travelled from Sydney to witness this rare and wonderful event
